"The Goddess awakens in our hearts
before she awakens in the world."
~ Marianne Williamson
|

In
ancient times, humans saw the Creator Spirit as a woman
- a life-giving, creative, preserving, protective
Goddess who shaped the Earth, provided us with abundant
food and gave birth to all things.
Beloved
by many cultures, She has been called by countless
names - Isis, Sarasvati, Venus, Athena, Inanna,
Pele, Changing Woman. Her titles included Queen of
Heaven, Mistress of the Animals, Our Lady, Holy
Mother and Mother of God. She was celebrated as Bee,
Lioness, Cow, Swan, Wheat, Rice, Sun, Moon and
Morning Star.
Now, the
memory of the Divine Feminine has re-emerged - She
is present, offering us help and guidance,
whispering to the hearts of both women and men.
The images, stories and symbols of the Goddess give
us a new way to contemplate the Divine.
The Goddess
reflects our own creative power and shows us our own
beauty. She gives healing, inspiration, strength and
comfort.
In
"Walking with the Goddess" workshops, you will
connect with the presence of the Sacred Feminine,
inviting Her as part of your spiritual journey.

Ritual and
Ceremony
As part of their relationship with the Goddess, our
Ancestor-women used ceremony to honor the important
passages of life. For example: a coming-of-age ceremony
to mark the first menstrual blood of a young girl, or a
ceremony to honor the wisdom of an Elder and her journey
through menopause. There are many ways to incorporate
the power of ceremony and ritual into your life, such as
blessing your home or the land you live on, a naming
ceremony for a new baby or to honor the passing of a
loved one.
What parts of your life would you like to honor, bless
or celebrate?
Women's
Sacred Art and Crafts
Woman held prominent roles in ancient
society. Seen as the embodiment of the Goddess,
women were honored as Priestess, Queen, Judge,
Midwife, Medicine Woman and Warrioress. Our crafts
were held sacred and our work was highly regarded.
Women created weaving, pottery, poetry, cave art and
metalwork. Women also prepared food, healing herbs,
incense and perfumed oils.
Our soul's yearn to
express and to be creative. The things we make with
our own hands are sacred, and our creativity is
needed. Our art is important. Every other part of
life is healthier when our own creative life is
fertile. Where in your life do you crave more
creativity? What projects would you breathe more
life into?
Restoring
Balance
We are all children of Goddess, God, All That
Is. When we acknowledge our own divinity and the
masculine and feminine that dwell in our nature, we
have true balance in our lives. Honoring the skills
and qualities we consider female as equally as we
honor the male brings us to a state of harmony. In
our culture, we have ignored the Divine Feminine for
too many years. I believe that now we are ready to
hear Her voice again; it is time to walk with Her,
re-awakened to Her infinite love.

"
Each woman has potential access to Rio Abajo
Rio, this river beneath the river.
She arrives there through deep meditation,
dance, writing, painting, prayermaking,
singing, drumming, active imagination, or
any activity which requires an intense
altered consciousness. A woman arrives in
this world-between worlds through yearning
and by seeking something she can see just
out of the corner of her eye....
If there is to be change, we are it.
We carry 'La Que Saba', the One Who Knows"
~
