Reiki Practitioner Training Courses
 Reiki is a gentle yet powerful form of healing that utilizes energy balancing techniques and deep relaxation. Healing can occur at all levels: emotional, physical, mental and spiritual.

With roots in ancient spiritual practices, Shintoism and Taoism, Reiki was originated by Mikao Usui in Japan in the 1920's.  Both a healing method and a path to achieve enlightenment, the traditions of Reiki have been known in the West since the 1940's.  In ways similar to Feng Shui, acupuncture or Chinese medicine, practitioners learn to focus "ki" or "chi" energy.  Hands are placed on or just above the body, and the flow of life-force energy assists in removing blockages, reducing pain and returning us to a natural state of balance. 

     

Reiki Level 1
Begin with yourself and learn basic self-healing methods.  Use Reiki techniques to gently bring mind, body and spirit into harmony.

  • Activate your intuition, learn to sense subtle energy
  • Understand the body's energy system, and how our chakras work together to create a harmonious foundation for well-being, spiritual growth, relaxation and productivity
  • Explore the history, ethics and philosophy of Reiki
  • Learn methods for being centered, grounded and protected
  • Learn how to give a healing treatment to yourself
  • Learn how to give a healing treatment to others
  • Discover how Reiki can benefit you in practical ways every day

Reiki Level 2
At this level, you will enhance your Reiki practice and learn additional techniques for healing, clearing and grounding.

  • Review the steps for giving a Reiki healing treatment and learn advanced Reiki techniques
  • Expand the amount of energy you are able to channel
  • Use Reiki with more focus and intention
  • Learn methods to offer Reiki healing from a distance
  • Learn the Reiki symbols and how to apply them
  • Deepen your intuition
  • Consciously work with your Spirit Guides and Teachers
  • Discuss how to build your Reiki practice
  • Learn basic Space Clearing methods to purify your work/healing spaces (i.e., before and after a client session). Learn to use Reiki for Space Clearing.

Reiki Level 3
At this level, students declare their desire to teach the Reiki healing system to others.  I consider this an apprenticeship.  Each Reiki Master student is trained in a unique way, receiving ongoing coaching and support as needed. 

  • Demonstrate proficiency in giving Reiki treatments and a mastery of knowledge of the Reiki system
  • Understand Reiki as a spiritual discipline
  • Continue to develop your intuition and expand your ability to sense energy
  • Learn how to organize a class, create your own teaching materials, learn to demonstrate the Reiki techniques and explain the uses of the Reiki symbols
  • Learn how to perform an attunement, the ceremony that initiates a Reiki student and promotes sacred awareness
  • Apprentice at courses; observe, participate, coach students and gain experience as an instructor

This knowledge can enhance your existing work or simply be used to further your own personal and spiritual growth.  Reiki training can be valuable for practitioners of all healing modalities (i.e. massage therapy, aromatherapy, acupuncture, yoga instructor, Feng Shui consultant) as well as teachers and those in the medical professions. Reiki is effective and safe with pets, children, the elderly, hospital or hospice patients. 

 
 

Deb Swingholm is a Master Teacher of Feng Shui and Space Clearing, a Reiki teacher and gifted intuitive, with nearly 20 years experience working in the field of personal development. She has trained international students at both beginning and advanced levels.  For many years, Deb has lived in Asia and the Middle East, traveling to ancient sacred sites and learning healing methods from around the world.  She draws on the richness of these experiences in all her work.
